Program:
The After-Care Program will be offered for students in the Elementary, Middle and High School Programs.
Program Dates:
First Session – June 23, 2008 thru July 18, 2008
Second Session – July 21, 2008 thru August 15, 2008
High School Session – June 23, 2008 thru August 15, 2008

1. Registration forms must be fully completed, with all necessary signatures before forms can be processed. A $50 registration fee should be submitted with each application. The registration fee is waived for participants in the Summer LAF. Registration is limited, and completed applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Students will not be enrolled in the After-Care program without a completed registration form and appropriate payment. A receipt for payment will be issued.

4. No confirmations will be sent. Registered students should report to After-Care following the first day of the program session.
5. A fee of $25 will be assessed for all registration forms received after June 2, 2008.
Class Schedule: 3:15pm – 6:00pm Daily
General Information: Tuition: Full payment of tuition is required for all students at the time of registration. Checks or money orders should be made payable to MCS (Muslim Community School). To pay by credit /debit card (VISA or MasterCard only), complete and sign the credit card information box on the After-Care Program Registration form.
Tuition Cost:
One Complete Session - $350
Two Complete Sessions - $650
Multiple child discount: Full tuition for 1st child, 10% for 2nd sibling and 15% discount for 3rd sibling.
Attendance: Attendance for this program is not mandatory. However, program fees will not be pro-rated for missed days.
Behavior: Students are expected to comply with all rules and regulations of MCS. Insert a hyperlink to the MCS student handbook.
Completion: Students will not complete the Summer LAF until all fees are paid and all books and materials loaned to them for the program are returned to the appropriate teachers or administrative offices of MCS.
Transportation: Parents are responsible for providing transportation for their children from MCS promptly at 6:00pm.
Additional fees: A late fee of $25 plus $1.00 per additional minute will be assessed for parents arriving late to pick up their children form the After-Care program. Furthermore, nominal fees may be charged for field trips, special activities, and those sports requiring special equipment or staff.
Snack: An afternoon snack will be provided to all program participants daily. Parents may also send snacks with their children.
Medical Information: It is the responsibility of the parents’ to notify the administration of MCS of any important medical information pertaining to your child(ren). On the first day of class, parents and/or legal guardians should complete the Medical information Form to MCS administrative office to report any special accommodations required for the student. ACTIVITIES:
Two 1 ˝ hour skills clinics will be offered each day, throughout each session. Participants in the After-Care program will be able to choose the clinic that suits their needs. Every two weeks, participants may change clinics, according to their interests. See the choices below:
Drawing Clinic (AS-DC)
In this clinic, the students will learn basic drawing techniques, as well as an introduction to using color. The hands-on lessons will guide them, step by step through the drawing process.
Painting Clinic (AS-PC)
Students will paint using watercolors and acrylics. They will practice techniques on paper and canvas. They will have the opportunity to learn painting through experience.
Web Development Clinic (AS-WDC)
This clinic will teach students easy and practical methods of building websites. Students will learn to use
Digital Photography Clinic (AS-DPC)
This digital photography course is concerned with the technology aspects of digital photography. Students will learn how to care for their digital equipment, to take digital photographs, to upload digital images to computers and to organize and layout digital photographs for presentation using computer software. Students need to bring their own digital cameras,
Soccer Clinic (AS-SC)
The clinic will create a fun learning environment in which participants can develop and/or basic ball manipulation skills, soccer rules and playing strategies. Games will be organized by age and ability.
Basketball Clinic (AS-BC)
Participants will learn fundamental basketball skills like ball handling, shooting and defense. Instructors will use drills, exercises, fun competitions and organize games. Emphasis will also be given to the encouraging teamwork, hard work, and good sportsmanship.
Study Skills Clinic (AS-SSC)
Students in this course will be given practical advice on how to achieve the best studying results for their learning style. The students will be given a learning style assessment and a customized study plan for each subject area.
Writing Clinic (AS-WC)
Each session of this clinic will focus on a different style of writing, including expository writing, persuasive writing, creative writing and poetry. In each style, students will be given tips on brainstorming, writing and revising.
