Sr. Farah Lotfi (lotfi@mymcs.org)
Sr. Farah Lotfi holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Mathematics and Computer Science. She also has several certificates in programming and networking. She's a faculty member at Baltimore City Community College teaching Mathematics. She has several years of experience teaching and has been with MCS since 1997.
Mr. Vince Sinning (sinning@mymcs.org)
Mr. Sinning ( Math and Computer) holds Bachelor's degrees in Engineering and in Computer Science, Master's degree in Education, and presently completing his doctoral dissertation in international affairs. He is a Senior Fellow at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, and at Columbia University. He has
completed graduate studies in diplomacy, as well as in internatioinal law. He has been an educator for high school and college level since 1988. He taught all levels of Math and Computer Studies, and was previously certified in the State of Texas, Oregon, and the District of Columbia. While working full time as a consultant and senior advisor for member States at the
United Nations, he continues to teach in both high school and college level (Math, Computer Science, Diplomacy and International Relations). Residing here in Potomac, he spends most of his time teaching at MCS. At the same time, he is also the Principal Faculty at John Jay School
of Diplomacy and International Affairs of the Euclid University Consortium. He is currently completing his Teacher's Certification in Math and Computer Science in the State of Maryland.
Sr. Maryam Saboonchi --Math and Science (saboonchi@mymcs.org)
Sr. Maryam has a B.A. from Isfahan University in Solid State Physics. She has been teaching at Muslim Community School in Potomac, MD since 2004, offering courses in math and science, math tutoring, and teaching in the primary grades. She has also taught physical education for girls. She speaks Farsi and English, and reads Arabic, and her experience in teaching also extends to teaching in the Department of Foreign Languages of Kish Air, Isfahan. While at university, she was Chair of the Physics Student Science Club, and Managing Editor of Potential Magazine, a science magazine for students. Community service in the US includes volunteering at Rockville Library, Rockville, MD.
