Today was the awards ceremony for the Montgomery County Science Fair.  We had a total of eight middle and high school students participate, and seven recognitions altogether!!

We applaud the exceptional efforts of these eight exemplary students who spent the last three days of their Spring Break at the fair’s set up, judging and awards ceremony.   MashaAllah through this valuable experience, they now have something more to add to their resumes…

Ali Reza Salimi – Generating Electricity via the Bloodstream –> Recognized as one of the top three 11th grade projects by the MIT Club of Washington DC with $75 and a one-year subscription to the MIT Technology Review magazine AND 1st place recognition by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering which includes a $200 check, and a one-year subscription to the IEEE Spectrum magazine which will be presented to Ali Reza at an Awards Banquet held in May where he is asked to display his project!!!

A huge high five to 9th grade student Fatemeh Naghavi who organized a MoCo Science Fair Club to help students get their applications done and forms submitted on time.  Her help contributed greatly to the success we enjoyed today, along with the guidance of teachers and parents.
