Checks or money orders should be made payable to MCS (Muslim Community School). To pay by credit /debit card (VISA or MasterCard only), complete and sign the credit card information box on the Summer LAF Registration form.
Attendance: Since some students will be receiving High School credit for these courses, full-time attendance is paramount. For this reason, more than one unexcused absence may disqualify a student from receiving HS credit. Of course students with unexcused absences may still attend their classes. Explanatory notes from parents will be required for absences and tardiness, and all cases will be subject to verification.
Cancellation of Courses: Classes that do not meet enrollment requirements will be canceled. Enrollment requirements will be detailed for each course. Students will be notified if their class is canceled and given the opportunity to switch to another class.
Change of Course or Refund: If a student wants to change a course due to cancellation, no additional fees will be assessed. Refunds will be made only if a student’s class was canceled because of insufficient enrollment. An exception will be made for the student who must withdraw because of (1) hospitalization or (2) quarantine for personal illness. All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to Muslim Community School, 7917 Montrose Road, Potomac, MD 20854, on or before the last day of the Summer LAF (August 15, 2008). Each request must include the student’s name and the reason for withdrawal, reasons are subject to verification. Other than these exceptions, there will be no refunds after the start of classes.
Behavior: Students are expected to comply with all rules and regulations outlined in the Summer LAF Handbook.
Dress Code: In order to maintain an Islamic environment, the Administration requires modest dress for both staff and students. No uniforms are required; however, staff and students should adhere to the following dress requirements:
